In addition to the activities of certification, GFC Chimica’s lab performs research and development of innovative products.

GFC Chimica is proud of its important cooperation with many universities and research institutes such as:

» University of Genoa, Dept. of Chemistry Engineering and Industrial Processing “G.B. Bonino”

The company also works tied to other universities such as Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, Università Ca' Foscari of Venice, l'Universidad de la Cataluna of Barcelona and University di Athens.

This cooperation on shared projects led to 5 Ph.D awards supported by GFC Chimica; the studies have been performed both in to the universities and the company’s laboratories.

Three large projects of research have been presented to national and local authorities to be co-funded.

GFC Chimica is also entitled by two major companies of a large project of research in orderto study and develop nanotechnologies applied to the coating field.
